GROW YOUR FAITH – A FOUNDATION

MATTHEW 14:28-31

1. How was the lack of faith in the Disciples illustrated?

Matthew 6.30, Luke 12.28: Fear for our life provisions

Matthew 8.26, MATTHEW 14.31: fear of our dangerous circumstances 

Matthew 16.8: fear of Jesus’s disapproval 

Luke 12.32, fear that they missed receiving the Kingdom

2. The Children of Israel needed to UNITE their faith with the WORD OF GOD.

3. Don’t GO ON PRESENTING your members to sin, rather PRESENT them to God.

4. To grow our faith, our choices need to be INTENTIONAL and APPROPRIATE.

5. God is the VINE and we are the BRANCHES. Remain connected to the God.

6. If you LOVE GOD, you will KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS

EPHESIANS 2:8-9, ROMANS 12:6

7. What does God’s Grace do for us?

WE ARE SAVED BY IT, WE ARE MADE STRONG BY IT, WE ARE SUSTAINED IN TIMES OF TRIAL AND SUFFERING, WE ARE GIVEN SPIRITUAL GIFTS FOR THE WORK OF MINISTRY TO THE BODY OF CHRIST

8. We are to RID YOURSELVES the old self and PUT ON the new self.

9. The bookends of a godly life are:

The righteousness of Christ

the power of God in Christ by the Holy Spirit
